We’re delighted to welcome Tonia Hoskins to the Academy of Leadership and Management.
Tonia joins us as a highly experienced leader in apprenticeships, bringing over ten years of expertise across the private sector and further education colleges. Throughout her career, she has supported both apprentices and employers to navigate the apprenticeship journey with confidence, clarity and purpose.
At the heart of Tonia’s work is a strong commitment to quality. She cares deeply about designing and delivering learning experiences that help individuals progress in their careers while enabling employers to build skilled, future-ready teams.
Putting the apprentice and employer experience at the centre of everything she does, Tonia has led apprenticeship journeys across a wide range of organisations, always with a focus on impact, continuous improvement and successful outcomes.
Getting to know Tonia
Q In a sentence, what will you be spending most of your time on?
A Providing compliance support to ensure the apprentice and employer journey is seamless from start to finish. That includes keeping everything up to date, asking the important questions and offering day-to-day operational support so our programmes continue to meet the highest standards.
Q What made you say yes to the Academy?
A From the very first conversation, it was clear how committed the Academy is to the success of every apprentice. The ambition to support leaders and future leaders really resonated with me. A successful outcome for every apprentice is something I strongly believe in too.
Q What are you most looking forward to getting stuck into?
A Meeting the team, learning how things work here and helping to simplify processes so compliance feels straightforward and supportive rather than complicated.
Q Which part of the role feels most exciting right now?
A The people. Everyone I’ve spoken to is professional, knowledgeable and genuinely ambitious for their apprentices. I’m really looking forward to working alongside them.
Q What would make your first few months a win?
A If compliance feels easier and more helpful for the team and, ideally, if no one groans when I join a Teams meeting.
Q What’s one thing you’re keen to learn here?
A I’ve always worked in large corporate education organisations, so I’m excited to experience working within a family business. I’m also looking forward to learning from the inspirational leaders here and continuing to develop my own leadership skills.
