Welcome to the Academy: Meet Amber Keats

We’re delighted to welcome Amber Keats to the Academy of Leadership and Management as our new Programme Lead and Executive Coach.

With over 12 years of experience across the UK and the Middle East, Amber brings a wealth of teaching, coaching and programme leadership expertise. Her career has taken her from teaching computer science in Oman to designing learning experiences and apprenticeships that help people step confidently into new careers.

At the centre of Amber’s work is a simple belief. Learning should open doors and help people build futures they are excited about.

Getting to know Amber

In a sentence, what will you be spending most of your time on?
Supporting learner progress through hands-on course guidance and working closely with the ALM team to strengthen and streamline how we support learners.

What made you say yes to the Academy?
The Academy’s commitment to personalised one-to-one support stood out straight away. It creates the space to focus on what I care about most, helping learners grow in confidence and capability so they can do work that feels meaningful.

What are you most looking forward to getting stuck into?
Enhancing how our digital platforms support the learner experience so there is less friction and more time spent on high-impact support across all pathways.

Which part of the role feels most exciting right now?
Building strong relationships with learners while using my tech background to make sure our systems genuinely enable their progress and leadership development.

What would make your first few months a win?
Successfully bringing together my technical and coaching experience so our systems feel simpler and more supportive for learners and the team.

What is one thing you are keen to learn here?
Gaining deeper insight into the wide range of industries our learners come from and continuing to grow as a leader through the same high standards of coaching we offer.

A little beyond the role

Amber’s belief in taking the less travelled path shows up outside work too. She enjoys hiking, climbing, mountain biking and trying new challenges, balanced with quieter time at home with her partner and three cats.
