Our CMI Level 2 Team Leader Programmes are designed for team leaders, to support the development of their skills in leading teams, making sure that the teams work achieves organisational objectives and contributes to planning, problem solving and decision-making.
These programmes are for those who want to develop skills such as team leading, communication, monitoring performance, controlling resources, building relationships and providing customer service.

Learners who are, or aspire to be team leaders or supervisors.
No formal qualifications are required.
Which qualifications will successful participants gain?
Successful completion of these programmes leads to the award of the CMI Level 2 Award or Certificate in Team Leading.
How is the programme structured?
The course is delivered through a blended approach, incorporating workshops, online learning, group coaching, work based learning and assessments.
Learners meet regularly with their tutor and are supported in their journey by a dedicated Learner Manager.
A typical month on the programme will include

CMI Unit 2001 Personal Development as a Team Leader
This unit focuses on developing the skills and knowledge of a team leader and looking after team welfare. By the end of this unit, you will be able to:
- Be able to identify work objectives and the skills and knowledge required to meet them
- Be able to agree, implement and review the development plan to meet work objective
- Understand team leader’s responsibility for welfare in the work area
- Understand the team leader’s responsibilities in relation to discrimination, harassment and diversity
CMI Unit 2002 Communicating with a Team
This unit is about organising and leading a team briefing to communicate within the team.

CMI Unit 2003 Monitoring Team Performance
This unit is about leading the team in planning, reviewing and achieving the work to meet required objectives.

This unit is about identifying, sourcing, managing and maximising resources to achieve team objectives.

This unit is about understanding how to communicate and develop work relationships with the manager, team and those outside the team.

CMI Unit 2006 Developing Team Members
is about inducting a new team member and identifying, planning and implementing team training.
